Default Cleaning up the interior

For the New Year I thought would give the interior a clean and refresh. What products do you all recommend that don't leave a greasy film.

I have read that 303 Products Aerospace Protectant works well.

Any thoughts? Thanks

In my previous life I was a detailer for 13 years. 303 is by far my favorite vinyl protectant. In recent years I have had great results with Blackfire products for leather care. Can't go wrong with lexol or Griot's leather care either.

I used Blackfire Interior Protectant over the holidays. It's water-based and pH neutral, so won't damage your interior surfaces over time. You can layer it to achieve the desired "sheen" - I found that one application was perfect for me. Couldn't find a supplier locally, so ordered it from the US through Amazon.

Not the best pic in the world, but you get the idea -

Another vote for 303. It can be used to spruce up and protect plastics under the engine lid, as well as the interior. Steer way clear of Armor All though. Unless they've improved it, it sucks the moisture out of dashboards.

Not sure if Super Cheap stock it, but Car Care Products (in Five Dock) is the place I get all my detail stuff from. Nice guys too.

to clean save yourself some money and buy:

1. sprayer bottle
2. Woolite

Dilute woolite 1:10 ratio to water put in sprayer bottle and use it to gently clean your interior - works great on carpet, leather, dash, etc

Woolite as an alternative to leather cleaner? That's interesting. I bet it's pretty gentle too. Do you rinse it out with water after cleaning?

As per their website details, 303 PAP is only suitable for finished (plastic coated) leather only.

Lexol leather cleaner & conditioner for the seats. Leatherique dye for touchup, or if you want to go cheap--the shoe sole stuff actually holds up pretty well.

Hi Ozmatt,

Cleaning the car interior is on my to do list as well. The 303 product looks to be a great finishing product. Can you share the contact details of two Sydney based suppliers you have found ?

Incidentally what exterior wax polish are you using ? I find it difficult to locate locally some of the Rennlist forum suggested ones.

Nope no need to rinse and you can use it to clean anything inside except the windshield. I just spray and wipe down with a microfiber towel. I've been doing this on all of my cars and no damage and gets out stains you think would be permanent.

Hey Brian, Check out "Care Care Products" for the 303 and also "zas" for the Blackfire. Both websites as per their names plus .com.au

For polish I'm using autoglym super resin polish, however not as much as I should......cant find the time to wash and then polish the car!

FYI - I just ordered the Blackfire.

Matt
