Default question before ordering my engine mounts...

Hey everyone! I have an '89 964 C4, and my engine mounts are shot.

I'm going to order the corteco 993 c4 engine mounts from pelican parts. Will these work fine in my 964?

I've done research and people allude to saying the mounts work, but I haven't seen someone explicitly say they do.

Thanks a lot!!

I would go with Wevo mounts. They are great.

Yes, these mounts will fit your 89 964. I have the Corteco 993 C4 mounts in my 90. I am a satisfied customer

Thank you mark!

Will the motor mounts be plug and play? Will I need to order any mounting hardware or such because mines a 964 and these are 993 parts.

I replaced the bolts. I had one snap of while torqueing, WOW that was a PIA to remove. Bolts are cheap. I used same 993 mounts. they made huge difference. Before, down shifting was nearly impossible.

Yes, they are direct replacements and no need for extra hardware. Just remember, as you install the mounts, to do one mount at a time instead of removing both at once.

Am I blind? I can't find 993 mounts on Pelican. Also, Just so I am clear: wevo & rs mounts require welding of the engine support brace? 993 engine mounts... No welding.?

Think these are the ones your looking for

Also I believe the understanding about the engine support brace is it should be used (welded in) if your reinforcement shows signs of cracking or weakness. It certainly won't hurt to use even if it doesn't show any issues, it would be just extra insurance to make sure you won't have any issues in the future.

Take this advise with a grain of salt though seeing how I'm still looking for my first 964 and don't have any 1st hand knowledge.

You can also use Boxster transmission mounts. They are the 993 engine mounts...

If you look within the Engine Mount section, they appear just below the 964 mounts. Part#993-375-049-09-M270.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Mark

Does this mean that you don't need to reinforce the engine brace??

Cheers
