Default WTB: 964 Ametyst color, what´s your opinion?

Really tempted of buying the "Ametyst" 964 for sale here:
http://www.porscheteknik.dk/Porsche-...rera4-964.html
I would say it is not my dream color, but still it does look good from certain angles.

What do you think of it, and the overall look of this car?
Seems to be in really great shape, paint is good, engine is dry, interior well maintained.

Carrera C4
Year: 1991
Kilometers: 167911
New bilstein suspension
Cup exhaust
18" Speedline rims.
RS front intake.
Board computer.

Is the color hard to sell again?

It looks in nice condition.

I think that the colour shouldn't cause you any trouble in selling it to be honest (especially with the way the 964 market currently is). A lot of Amethyst cars also have purple interiors which is too much in my opinion. With this one, the black sets it off nicely.

It looks as though someone has deleted the rear wiper at some point and the wheels are speedline copies, so not original ones if that's something that would concern you?

Have you had it checked by a mechinic who know's these types of cars?

Purple interior is definately too much I agree.
The rear viper will be attached again. How do you see that the wheels are a copy (missing bolts) and what is the downside? Are they cheap made, heavier and what not?
Thanks you the reply Andy.

Did not find a mechanic yet, but the workshop here specialises in 911´s, and the mechanic is german so I would think they offer some sort of warrenty/assurance of the state of the car. Thay being said of course they would be bias since they are the sellers.

Regarding Porsche teknik they have had some bad reviews elsewhere on Porsche forums with lack of service and responsibility.

The Porsche looks really good but I think that I would try to get sombody outside the company to do the PPI IF you really want to buy it.

Atleast then you are on the safe side of a unparty inspection done....

The wheels are period ACP Jara and are rare these days and quite sought after.

I think the color is great, I would much rather it than Black like my 964.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Amethyst 964. The very first 964 I ever lusted after was an Amethyst Carrera 4 with a linen interior. Still wish I'd bought it!

Cool color and a good looking car, at least judging by the pics. Don't buy a car with the intention of selling it. Like the color? Buy it.

Yes I am Danish, and the car was actually bought in sweden by Porsche Teknik. Do you have any recommendations as to PPI, and any examples of the bad reviews of Porsche Teknik?
