Love that show. Since the 993 has so much in common with the 964, under the skin, I'm looking forward to their comments about the car's construction. They (Ed actually) make it all look so easy.

I don't think this is going to work out for the folks in the colonies. I'm checking my listing on Velocity (the channel in the US that airs Wheeler Dealers) and I don't see a new episode with Porsches. The only Porsche eps are a 914 ep and a 944 Turbo ep, and both of those are old episodes.

Sorry Stuart, in re-reading your statement, I think you may have been referring to a dealer referenced above your last post, not WD. If that's the case, I recant my statement.
I've watched it and they also appear at the NEC Classic car show.

I also grew up through the 60's and 70's with very close associations to the motor trade and Mike is definitely the essence of a dodgey car dealer, an Arthur Daly!
As you say I wasn't referring to not WD.
Love WD, but you know that they haven't included all their costs.

Thanks for turning me on to this show. Never seen it before and it's really fun to watch.

I took a look at the green 911 targa episode. Got a great laugh in the 2nd half when Tony, the owner of that "cracker" (I assume that is British for mint or pristine) black targa warns potential buyers to check the oil filler cap to make sure there is no white in the oil "which means that the head gasket is gone"

....ummm ok I guess they started water cooling 911s in the UK far earlier than ROW models.

Classic Car Rescue? Yea, that show is garbage and just a bunch of fame drama. Wheeler Dealers is a class act compared to Classic Car Rescue.

They seemed to do a pretty nice job on the 993. The shocks with adjustable top mounts looked a bit OTT for a targa, they could have saved £1500 or so with just some sport shocks and springs, didn't make sense to me...

It didn't seem as far fetched as some of their projects either. Probably only 2 days work tied up in the car, which if added to their declared prices even at full garage rates would have still been a profit...

Am I over thinking this......?

I think you are right. I searched Discovery and Velocity and all I could see was the 914 and 944. We are SOL for a while I guess.

They've also done a (74?) Targa and a 928.

BitTorrent (or, even better, Usenet) is your friend. Just wait until the day after it airs and download it. Who actually watches TV anymore?

I noticed that too lol. Immediately made me think the guy was a dolt.

Can't wait for the 993 to air in the US. I watch it religiously including episodes I've seen several times.

Here I am with Mike during filming in Dubai. They featured my ex-993 C4S and a few other 911's...and I have to say Mike is a nice, no BS kind of guy. He's a different person filming than he is speaking to him casually. Less hyper is the main difference...

Anyone aware of any online sources of the 993 episode?
I think it aired yesterday....
