Supercar Sunday
Had a few of the lads to the house this weekend. Sadly, there is still some riffraff in the 'hood and I had trouble keeping them off the driveway.

Yes, yes you do. It's an utterly different experience than the 964, as Cliff says, "pure theatre", but I'm sure enjoying it.
Oddly, my quite-modified 911 is much quicker around town, but the 355 is a total demon once let loose. And NOTHING can match the sound.

Drove the 964 yesterday - superfast and tons o fun. It'll never leave the stable - don't worry. The F car has just made me appreciate it more.
The 355 is stunning. Everything, even getting gas, is an "event" - but the P car (with Unichip, MAF, etc) has SO much seamless, endless, satin- smooth bottom end - it's a total blast to drive around town. It feels much faster - certainly down around 4.0 sec, 0-60. The F car is monsterous up top though - a whole other experience and I'm enjoying the constant contrast.
But by next year - I'll hope to have added a "brass era" car of some kind - so I'll bring that. Of course I'll have to leave on the Saturday to get to Cliff's by the Sunday. ; )

Maintenance costs are a hot topic in the 355 world...

There's no question that abused, ignored cars suffer and sorting them CAN be expensive - but the cars are old enough and cheap enough now that there's a huge DIY community - complete with lots of "how to" guidance and cheap part x-ref resources etc.
So it's more "doable" than you might think. And utterly - totally worth it. ; )

Hype and group think seem to take on a life of their own when it comes to sports car ownership. I'll be watching your ownership experience carefully.
I want a Ferrari too! It will be a nice compliment to the 964.

Sweet ride RK. I got so tired of waiting for my 964 to come back (being told Monday).
I just purchased a 2010 Grabber blue GT500 with 620hp 10k on the odo. This thing is a monster.
I am on the look out for a 360 Modena or an V8 Vantage to add to the stable. Just need to get another 4 post lift.
