Default Porsche Hardtop on a 964 Targa

Yes, I know. It has never been done and cannot been done on the 911 after 1985 with the roller latches and especially not on the 964, who has a specific windshield frame with a 964 part number. Well, I found an original top and want to give it a try. So, I would like to know what the bare frame of a 964 Targa looks like without having to pull the trim on mine (at least not yet). Who can help my with some pictures ??

Thanks

Alain

Search for 'composite targa top development' on PP for information on Targa hardtop information and developer contact information. I am also waiting for their roller lock version to be available. The more on the waiting list the more incentive to get it to market.

Hi Greg,

many thanks for these interesting pics, never saw what's under the black cover.
I have to admit that my request was not very clear : I'm looking for pictures of the bare windshield frame from a 964 targa. Something tells me that this will be difficult to get.....

Thanks again

Alain

A quick glance at the bottom picture caught me off guard... was thinking how cool it would be to work on my Porsche in the living room. My garage gets pretty cold in winter...

Hi,

sounds good !!!! I would like to see the area around the fittings of the roller locks (left side in the left, right side on the right), ideally with these fittings removed. Hope you can understand what I mean. You can alos take a picture of the overall frame, just to se what it looks like.

Thanks a lot

Alain

Greg....interesting to see a bent spare wheel hanging on the wall in your first picture.
