...and needed 4 seats, what would you replace it with?

How big are the rear passengers?
From what I've seen, most people who sell this car for something else end up regretting it. If you have to, you have to, but if you can, I'd go for a second car instead.

That said, in the 964 price range,
M5 or S4 if you can find one in that range
WRX Sti are quite a blast to drive

My 964 has 4 seats.... I bought it when I needed a car after our second child was born. This car really can do everything!

It isn't that I need a bigger car, it is just that I am thinking of getting a different car. Weekends and track days. But I need 4 seats to justify owning it (to carry to kids under 10, as I do in my 964 now).

An E92 M3 is on the shortlist currently...
