Single Din SatNav?!?
Im looking for a built in SatNav / Car Stereo system, but can't seem to find any (uk) SINGLE DIN ones, that are just that (Not the ones that fold out and up)
Im shying away from one that folds up to 7" as Im sure I've read on here that they end up fouling the dash and therefore not able to extend out / be any use!
Anyone got one / know if such a thing exists? Ive even thought about the classic Porsche Navi - but can't find any stockists...!?!
Oh... and the 997 is going... another 964 is on its way, Coupe this time. Hopefully my black one with soon have a friend her own age :-)
Photos when she arrives :-)
James.

Yup!
The maps also come on an SD-card which leaves an extra slot for an extra SD-card for mp3's.
Apparently it's this manufacturer which also makes the Porsche classic radio, but imo, the classic looks a bit too classic for a modern car like the 964.
Everything is also very intuitive. It's the ideal mix

The KR737+ is currently unavailable in the UK apparently - there is an updated version due in June '15 so it looks like the wait might be a little longer.
I spoke to the UK distributors in Stretford, Manchester, this morning and I'm going to get myself on the waiting list. DNA Car Audio (fit4caraudio.co.uk) is the place.
The new Becker Mexico looks pretty, but somewhat more £££ than I really wanted to spend.
I DID make an assumption earlier on - that the fold out 7" displays would foul the switches / dash. Whilst they probably won't look as nice - am I right in 'writing them off?'
James.

Not sure why anyone would want a nav unit. Your phone has bettergps/nav on it. I put it on google maps/ voice command...done.
For my birthday i will be getting the Pioneer DEX 99rs. Looks great/sounds great.

Drifting
Screens are too small and most folks use their phones these days. I love the old school look and would prefer it without the Nav part. Still looking for a decent alternative.
+2 on the phone. I love the looks of the DEX99RS but $1,100 is a bit much IMO. I'm hoping to catch it on sale when a replacement comes out, or to find an old school Nakamichi like the CD400.

When you're in the UK with an iPhone 4 where on the motorways 3G (yes only 3G for me lol) isn't up to scratch, you'll understand why I don't like using my phone as Satnav!
I know, I know... buy a new phone.... probably cheaper!
