Default Photo Thread Request - 964 cars with Tails

I know some don't like the look of a 911 with a tail, but I am one who loves the look of a nice carrera tail on a narrow body car. I think the RSA / Carrera tail looks especially nice on a 964 with the molded bumpers.

I have a carrera tail and decklid from a 3.2 car on the way and will eventually be installing on my 1991 964 Coupe. I'd love to have a picture thread dedicated to 964 cars with tails to hold me over until I get around to installing mine.

A bit extreme example.

Since only the RSA came with the Carrera-type tail, this site should do the trick.

I'll play.
I saw this low mileage (but dirty) RSA this past weekend.

You guys are the best. Great photos!

What's with the oil filler on the right quarter of the white car? Going '72 style?

That's a C4RS Lightweight - They came that way from the factory. A very very rare car.

I've contacted Porsche Motorsport in Stuttgart recently in connection with trying to purchase the 964 Carrera 4 Leichtbau / Lightweight rear spoiler with the black grill insert. They do not have any in stock but if anybody is interested in this rear spoiler please let me know and I can pass on the information to Porsche. If there is enough interest maybe Porsche will organise a production run.

I have also been in contact with EB Motorsport in the UK and if Porsche are not prepared to commission the production of this spoiler, EB Motorsport may make a mould if there is sufficient interest.

On a related note and if I'm not mistaken, Brixner made this rear spoiler for Porsche years ago but he does not have the moulds anymore. Apparently Porsche picked them up quite some time ago...

DP Motorsport (http://www.dp-motorsport.de), Niederhof (http://niederhof-starnberg.de) and EB Motorsport (http://www.eb-motorsport.co.uk) make a one piece replica of the SC/RS but unfortunately not the two piece version.

Also on a related note, I have the TechArt rear spoiler on the back of my car but really prefer the Leichtbau version.

Cheers, Mark

ha, didn't notice that, i was distracted by what looks like poor door fit. maybe its just the angle, but the door looks closed at the top but not at the bottom...

Probably the way it left the factory... it is the first prototype C4 Lightweight built, so I'd leave the door as is. The door is insanely lightweight of course...

Crowds around a 964? Carrera 4 LWT

Am I the only one liking the Leichtbau tail better than the turbo one?
