A quick introduction to me and my car
Gentlemen. I thought i'd introduce myself and my car. I am new to 964's but have specialised in driving and setting up water cooled 911's for some year, racing successfully in UK Carrera Cup, Gt sprints and endurance racing in both 996 and 997 cups. I have also a lot of experience working on various chassis set ups on road going 996 and 997 Gt3's. During this time I have worked with some very good race engineers and talented drivers some of which have subsiquently become Porsche factory drivers.
I first drove a 964 some years ago - a 964 NGT - at Brands Hatch for a Gentlemen who asked me to comment on the set up of the car. Frankly, the set up was awful but in spite of this, the car was a delight to drive. It struck me that although it shared the body shape of an early 911, it had contemporary capabilities in terms of braking and chassis. The little car struck me as a delightful antidote to the brutal water cooled cars that I was racing at the time.
Fast forward several years and several thousand more laps in GT3's and a good friend offered me the oportunity of purchasing a low milage non sunroof 964C2 with a factory fitted Limited slip Diff. It was an opportuntity that I just couldnt miss and has taken me on the most wonderful journey. I knew exactly what I wanted from the car and following a relatively short build period I have something which is one of the very best road cars that it has been my pleasure to drive and a very capable track car also. However, the best part of the journey has been meeting the many 964 owners that have helped me along the way on my build. These little cars attact owners with true passion and enthusiasm who often have a desire to create something truly individual. There is a lot that I have to learn about this lovely little car and I hope that you will all be kind enough to share some knowledge with me. For my part, if I can help anyone with what driving and set up knowledge that I have, It will be my pleasure.
I'm still a novice when it comes to posting on this site so attached may or may not be a picture of my car..

Gentlemen. Thank you for your kind welcome. I will post more about the car soon.
Jamie. Don't worry, it wasn't your car that I was referring to. Yours was nicely set up and still one of my favourite 911's

Car looks great Steve. I'm sure I saw a thread either on Facebook or Pistonheads detailing the early work.
I was at Silverstone last year(?) when you drove wtdoom's '73RS....
My car is going through its second rebuild in my ownership (a more comprehensive job this time around). It will emerge from its chrysalis in Spring wearing Jamie's BBS E27's
