Default Transverse lock(?) gear oil leak

My C4 has started leaking quite a bit of gear oil from the transverse lock. It is definitely not brake fluid. I have had the pdas warning light along with brake light showing up on the dashboard and have not been driving it until I am able to get it diagnosed. It is possible that it is coincidental, but I am wondering if anybody else has had this issue. If so, is there a seal behind the lock that I need to replace? I am attaching a picture. I had cleaned the gear oil off mostly for the picture, but it is pretty easy to see where it is coming from.

There is a seal behind there. It is a sort of belows that goes over the end of the actuating rod that comes out of the slave cylinder.

This little leak needs sorting but the warning lights are likely coincidence imo.

I have the seal kit available if you need one. Also have a nice used transverse slave cylinder if you need that.

I just did this. Used the 9m kit. It's not hard. No more leak.

Spark some brake cleaner on that flange nut to help free it up on the lower line. I had to use a rubber mallet to tap the lock to brake it loose.

Don't forget when you install the guides to stagger them and make sure the center seal in in the correct direction.
