Speedlines or RH for sale?

Fantastic. I love to hear that the car was well bought, and now lives with a true enthusiast who will really care for it (& drive it!!) over the years to come.
Put this one in the "saved" column. Because sitting for years & years & not driven is never good for these cars.
Congrats again!!

This is the build sheet on the car and it is Slate Grey Metallic. I love slate grey and have owned (and sold) a 996 GT2 and 997TT in that color. When I saw this car I felt the pull! Yes it had been sitting but it was serviced quite extensively prior to its sale. It has some issues as noted but none were a deal breaker to me. Callas Rennsport is known to be expensive and extremely thorough so their PPI was gold for me. I know every single issue on this car and will tackle the small stuff on my own and farm out anything big. But I do intend to drive it and I do intend to keep it. Car should arrive by the weekend or early next week. Very excited for my first 964 Turbo.

Well I have never had other Turbos like you have - but I love my '91. In my opinion they are the perfect tweaner car - still has most of the old school air cooled charm and character with a few tech improvements, coilovers, 5 speed..A/C. I've taken mine on numerous big drives (400+ miles in a day over curvy mountain roads) to weekends and of course 3000 miles to/from Rennsport (with buddies in a '79 Turbo and a '90 C2) this past fall. Amazing car. Enjoy.

They are all amazing cars and I couldn't say which is my favorite although I know which ones I didn't love. And if you buy them right, maintain them, and enjoy them for a few years you should make money on them as well. What other investment can you say that about?

Speedlines 3.6 Turbo wheels sets are 52 ET 8" 1,25" + .25" crush ring + 6.5" inner in the rear it is 61 ET 10" and is 1.75" + .25" crush ring + 8" inner
Stock set of RH 3 piece Turbo wheels are 52 ET 8" 1,25" + 6.75" inner in the rear it is 54 ET 10" and is 2.25" + 7.75" I have seen RH sets built with 1.75" plus 6.75" but I think it is too close to the fender lip, but someone else who is running this combination can chime in to provide pictures. jdorociak@gmail.com Jim

Well the car came late last night. Had to wash it this morning but I will be doing small things to improve its appearance and performance. Hopefully, in my garage but will farm out what I cannot do.

Looks great. The Cup 1's look to be in great shape - that said it's amazing what Speedlines do to the overall look. On the earlier cars 18's look pretty big, IMO, but they look good on 964Ts.

Nice car! FWIW, I love the look of the Cup1 original wheels. Maybe just wrap those up in some fresh Michelin PS4s and see how she goes (check shocks, corner balance, ride height, align to the elusive 964T spec).

Thanks very much and yes, I live in Florida. On the list of small projects are to clean the headlights (they are drying right now): replace brake pads, sensors, rotors, flush fluid;; replace sunroof hinges, fix the bumper "frown;" ordered a couple of small parts for the interior that were broken; new tires; lower car via springs or suspension, and then have an engine out service to seal it and maybe extract a little performance. The side skirts and bumpers could use paint due to chips and I would like to replace the rubber smile on the front bumper and rubber on the skirts but I really want to enjoy the car and painting those pieces will drive me crazy right now. So I will easily live with the current patina and not worry. I am most likely going to put on clear Euro side markers and RH wheels are up there too but let me get these things out of the way first.

Careful discovery of leak source can save unnecessary work - my leak looked like a cylinder but it was a dried up sensor seal on back top of engine. There’s an o-ring or two as well up there that get old and leak. Worth replacing all of those anytime there’s access as well.
