The 928's are seeing some serious interest since the sale of the Risky Business 928 for $1.9M. I appreciate the 928 and enjoy my GTS. I just am not sure what they were thinking when it came to replacing the 911 with them, A very different animal.

Factory publications say that the fronts should be a 9 ET64. I am running 9 1/2 ET57 which ere fitted to the RSR and RS's with center lock hubs.

The picture of your car shows the shocks mounted narrow body inboard which works but that is just taking a 964 C2 and adding wider wheels. The Wide body IMO should be setup with the shock towers set outboard up front like the turbo and RSR. I tired my track car both ways and the handling improvement with the outboard 3.8RS/RSR/turbo front setting and narrow body trailing arms is IMO a considerable improvement especially on track.

The wheels aren't as aggressive looking. This won't be a tracked car any longer so I am assuming you should be OK. I am surprised Colin mounted his this way or was it possibly someone after him.

@cobalt I'm going back to street specification. I don't know why the current setup is inboard instead of outboard
About the ET for the front, It may be my mistake when I send the spec.
I may have swapped the size for the 8Jx18 ET 52 and 9Jx18 48 (mhttps://www.adrianstreather.com/docs/964%20wheels%20and%20tyres.pdf) and end up with a mixup of 9Jx18 52

I'm lucky it fits

I love the 928, at least the shape as I never driven one ;-)
I have too many cars otherwise GTS will be the one I'll have (manual or auto)

I bought the black one to resale via my little dealership

Street spec for the turbo would be outboard fronts and the larger turbo rear arms 18's stock would be 8 x 18 ET ET 52 10 X 18 ET 61 as Adrian specifies.

A lot has changed since your slate gray was at Protosport. Looks like you are having fun.

I like the 928 although if I had to sell one it would be the first to go. No wait the 944 would be first the 928 second. Both grreat cars but no 964. Sorry 928 lovers.

52 ET 8 front 61 ET 10 rear on the Speedlines - I am sure it was a typing error from Cobalt. Jim

I don't think that's my old car though it's the same colors. Mine had a 100 liter euro fuel tank and not a cell
I also put a black RS style interior in it. An interior was required for the class back then
Pleasant memories though I loved that car Good luck with yours
If you haven't already I'd get rid of that fuel cell CIS doesn't like ingesting foam

Thanks Jim, Hope all is well with you. My eyesight is failing and the loss of feeling in my left hand has me typing lots of mistakes. I will correct that.

I recall seeing it just after Colin purchased it. If you think of how many of these had been converted to track duty and are now for sale as street cars and the owners have no clue. So long as the work is done properly and history disclosed to the buyer I see several more coming up for sale in the future.

@cobalt
I only drove a 944S2 and my experience was that the driving position was just perfect. It did feel underpowered
I never drove a 944 Turbo, however.

I currently have a 993 Turbo at the dealership and I find myself enjoying more and more to drive it. Even if it definitively does not feel as old school as the 964 (in the good way)

@Dan Jacobs
Yes I did remove the cell fuel and replace by a 964 or 993 one
