Default Replacing engine mounts

I had a look at my engine mounts and thet are drooping very low. I will replace them asap but wanted to know if the factory set really reduces the handing performance? I dont want hard setup that creates alot of noise.

I was thinking about these parts over the stock ones?
http://www.patrickmotorsports.com/part/799/

If new stock ones are ideal than I will go with them. I just wanted to get some feedback on what you guys are using and whats the handing/ride like.

its a 1992 964T 3.3

I have no personal experience with 964 type motor mounts but a friend of mine installed RS mounts in his 964 RS clone and he really liked what those mounts did for his car.
Wevo makes a sport mount that's a little less than the factory RS unit.
You could go over to the 964 board and ask for opinions as there a lot of guys that have upgraded their mounts.

I put the Euro 3.8 964 375 043 81 mounts on my car. I like these and no additional transfer of noise or vibration.

Ive been reading the posts for the WEVO mounts and they now have a set that is more road worthy. I dont want more noise but about half the guys say they make more noise and the other half say they dont; however they will give you an increase in rigidity and shifting precision. For the price of those patrick motorsports listed above you could get factory mounts which will last you a while and of course work really well. But im sick of messing with my stupid mounts, i bought some DP brand off of Ebay and they are already sagging a little after 2 years, so im probably going to go with Wevo ones as they are fairly cheap and simple in design.

The Wevo looks to be a nice upgrade over the RS mounts. Will have to just try them and see wether the noise is ok for me. Sounds like the factory mounts just dont last. After looking at the condition of my factory mounts sagging! I dont think I will go with the higher cost of the factory mount over the Wevo semi soft setup.

Hey Andrew,

Would love to see a few pictures of your mounts after the 4 years of use. Is there any sagging?
Nice set of turbo's by the way

Thanks

As soon as I get her back from the shop(hope this week) I will take some pictures and post. My WUR is being replaced and i am having a Tial 44mm wastegate installed. Also had my front A arm bushings rebuilt with neoprene ones as the stock ones are toast.
Thanks, yes I have the best of both worlds

Hello my friends!

I try to change my stock engine mounts to RS version. Can you help me what is the length of the bolts have to be in this case? As I understand - RS bolts doesn't fit on our turbo cars???

Regards from Ukraine!
