Default Trouble Shooting the Tach Signal

Rennlisters,

Does have advice on trouble shooting the tach signal on a 1992 964 Turbo? The actual Tach works ... I've tried two tachs on my car and a friends car ... so there's something missing from the signal that car should be giving.

I've heard the black/purple wire provides the signal but I don't know where it goes to after the tach.

Cheers,

Ben

Im no expert but the EZ69 provides the signal.

It goes to the box underneath the left seat into a control box.

From there it goes to the tach.

You have to check it with a scope to see if its giving a signal... could be the EZ

Please post your findings, im having trouble myself after converting it to EFI- it was working fine and now has stopped.

Look at the electrical diagrams for tach from teh EZ and follow.

Francisco, that is very helpful. Thank you. I will take a look at it sometime this week and will report back.
