That was for sale in Seattle at Park Place and has popped up regularly on the board(s). First time I've seen it actually change hands...
Interesting and a bit of a sad story on the car. Built in the NW by one of the popular engine builders and had some serious dollars spent from motor to suspension. Local guys who had been on the track with the car often times said it was the fastest they've come across. The owner died shortly after finishing it and it was given to PP on consignment to try and sell.
For someone that can turn a wrench it might be a fun ride. But it was one of the more uglier 965's I've seen with the purple interior, and a bit rough around the edges.

Interesting the car was sold at BJ in 2009 Palm Beach for $58k and again Sept 2010 for $40k.
There was a 20k mile 91 stock that had sold for nearly $60k.

That car was is nicknamed the Purple People Eater
I contacted Park Place in WA several times over 2 years ago to buy that car. But they wanted too much for it and we could not agree on price.
I was a little concerned how the car would be long term with all the track time and the extreme engine build, even though it appears very well built and the original owner was not shy about spending $$ on it.
One thing that pissed me off was how the car was butchered to fit the intercooler (see pic below)...it made me think what other corners were cut, and why did they not repair the sheet metal, it looked like they took a Harbor Freight angle grinder to the poor car...arghhh!
For less than $40K that car is a steal wow!
