I agree with secretcollector. Not exactly how I would have ordered it, but I don't think it's ugly. I love the leather-wrapped roll cage.

Well thanks, Tim.

Let's look at it another way: it's not for everyone, agreed. BUT, it is new, unregistered and a true one-off from Exclusive. Asking is €1.3M, they have turned down €1.2M right away and they'll get their price sooner rather than later.

1.2 counteroffer is way too high, they want to test water for now and maybe two more comings out soon.

First owner bought 4 Turbo S Leichtbau (two LHD and two RHD) and two RSR 3.8 at the same time - all where delivered late 1994. All of them were/are for sale actually : pic shows the two RSR 3.8 ( same special specs and both undriven )

Cute picture but criminal to allow these cars to get that dirty.

Smart investment.

Why would a 92 Turbo S be delivered in 1994?

Simply because owner purchased the cars in 1992 but collected them in 1994
( many reasons to do this and I know lots of cars registered years after production date... or even never registered as it seems to be the case with the cars we're speaking about ).

Norbert to confirm

why ? - ... customers wish ? ... because it took some time to build up the cars by hand after production end ? ... caused by extensive work by Porsche Exclusive? ... because customer absolutely wanted to own the last car?

... now he is dead and it will be hard to get the answer ...

for both models we find here one of the reasons why the official counts are still presented wrong by Porsche

What i learned over the years is that there is a market behind official markets - let me call it a "Broker-market". Most of the famous cars first go through this. Some directly to collectors without any official advert others to Dealers.

Its not so easy to sell so many special cars at the same time without ruin the prices... Two are officially sold - the others still hide in Brokers lane 😜
What you need in any case is a hell of cash. 💥

So we don't know. LOL I was just curious I know in many ROW markets registering a car years later works to your advantage not here in the US though.

So true. I first learned about the car trading underworld back in the 80's. My friends uncle was a serious collector owned everything from D type Jags to 21 window VW buses, Bora's, 356's and a dozen 6.9 SEL MB. His big claim to fame was Bentley's and RR custom coaches. One off cars. Must have owned over 100 different cars at the time. He also dabbled in rare motorcycles which was an interesting market. He retired from cars and moved onto biplanes which was another crazy market.

Everything was sold through brokers and word of mouth. Most of the time all it took was a phone call and a few weeks later the car was on to its new owner. Not quite the same today but for the truly rare and collectable cars you have to be in the know to obtain one.

Beautiful package car but it is a 94 3.6 TS not a 92 turbo S 3.3 lightweight.

I am an idiot. I was surprised no one commented on how fake that toddler pic was and posted before reading it was a card.

You can delete this post.

Carry on.

That group of Turbo S lightweight cars I took pictures of also had a 3.8 RSR car there that was still in the original cosmoline from shipping and I guessed it might wear that coating for the rest of its life since that was now part of the story about the car. Unfortunately I really was only interested in the Speedline wheels. jim jdorociak@gmail.com
