The driver is a hot shoe and accomplished rally guy.

Throttle stuck wide open. Everybody is OK and the car is back on the "road".

BTW, the engine is a 3.4L water boiler.

Well, there you have it; car's not an "real" RSR. Thanks for the update Kai.

From the www.teamkleinjan.nl site:

"Het was een weekend om snel te vergeten voor Team Kleinjan. Vrijdagavond 20 september gingen Harry Kleinjan en navigator Bart den Hartog vol enthousiasme met de Porsche 964 RSR van start in de Hellendoornrally. ..... Die wedstrijd eindigde vanuit leidende positie doordat het gas bleef hangen en de equipe met de Porsche in een sloot eindigde."

Translation:

It was a weekend that Team Kleinjan should quickly forget. Friday night September 20th saw Harry Kleinjan and navigator Bart den Hartog start the 'Hellendoornrally' with the Porsche 964 RSR, filled with enthousiasm. ..... This race ended from a leading position because the throttle was stuck open and the team ended up with the Porsche in a canal.

The video was new to me, I apologize for any staleness to all interweb surfers more up-to-speed (pun intended) than myself. The site also mentions that the car was back on the road in November of last year to participate in the 'Conrad Euregion Rally'.

Funny how everyone just assumes it drivers error.... Of course the real racers reserve judgement
