Question Window trim in high gloss Aluminum

Any one have a picture of their 991 with option "Window trim in high gloss Aluminum"? Not sure its worth it or not the porsche car configurator does not show it well. I am going w black exterior and the carrera classic wheels. Before confirming my order want to see what it looks like. Thx

I'm not quite certain, but I think your dealer should be able to search all cars at all dealers and find an example then have the other dealer send some pics. In '09 I found a car to my spec in this way, but I'm not sure how much the search was automated and how much was the local dealer calling around.

The production first starts next week, there are absolutely no pics available so far of the new roof. Hope to get some pics soon to upload them. I ordered my s with the glass roof in combination with colour agate grey, i think it just looks outrageous hot especially the contrast black and dark grey together with the carrera platinum wheels !

I vote pass also. I had a 997 Targa and was not a big fan of the anodized aluminum around the windows.

I love it.. especially on my Targa. I like the fact that you can order it on the 991.

if u're curious on how they look like, just go see a Panamera. majority of them are with the same silver trims.

not sure if it's a good option. totally personal preference. it works on some color. certainly more luxurious than sporty. funny u pay to get black trims when u buy BMW. u pay to get silver when u buy Porsche.

You better ask your sales double check with factory regarding this option. I placed my order last August and should secure the January/Febuary build. I check with my sales regarding my delivery schedule end of February, however, I found out my build still pending. The sales check with the ordering department than found out the "Window trim in high gloss Aluminum" coused the delay.

Below is the reply from my dealer:
"Option 559 delay is due to manufacturer's supply. At the moment, we have no 991 production done with option 559. Please kindly check VIN of that vehicle and let me know. I will check it in system.

559 Window frames in high gloss aluminum Up to 11 weeks delayed in relation to the quota
month.
Not available any more for MY C. "

I heard from dealer the delay is 4 months instead of 11 weeks during the local launch party(mid of March). However, the thing could change anytime and I knew there are few delivery with this option. You should ask your sales to check with the ordering department before you place your order.

Several of the UK press cars have this option. Silver car in the latest GT Porsche, Guards Red in Autocar road test, dark blue in EVO group test and 911 & Porsche World article.

Personally I'm not a big fan of bright work on modern sports cars.

I saw it on a blue car mentioned in one of the Euro delivery threads. I like it.
