That one has spent more time in the sun than you often see on the low mileage cars. Still a great car, you'd mainly need a dash and clock replacement to make the sun exposure less noticeable.

Wow, 36k miles and it sold for $16,300. I'd guess that basically no one looking for a collector version of our cars wanted to have to clean up this much sun exposure, etc. Paint generally seemed fine.

Agreed! I assume all the deferred maintenance was an issue too....

Seems perfectly aligned with what White Cabs are selling for... no matter what others are "Listing For" in other selling forums. There are white and red cabs all over the place for sale in the 20's for months if not longer. Some waxed nostalgic about that cell phone monstrosity that the dealer added and that would be the 2nd thing I removed from that car along with all the wiring and antenna. Take pictures, save in a box for posterity but remove for general enjoyment of the car. Visual simplicity in a German drivers car, not an American business mans version.

Not me John Kinda like when you see the 50s cars at the cruise night with the factory under-dash record player, it was cool early nineties period technology. I'd leave it in for display purposes.

I hope you didn't through away your 1987 portable brick phone!!!

There aren't many 36k mile boring color 968s out there if you value low mileage and figure you can fix the condition. How many sub 10k/30k/40k/50k US 968s ya'll think are out there? My coupe is at 54k miles. I don't plan to drive it so I hope I'll gradual move up as far as low mileage goes.

Buying a nice car and saving the miles is like dating a hot model but saving her for the next guy. More smiles per miles.

I have a high mileage Cab (195k miles, 184k of them by me) also Raj. Bought the coupe so I'll be less tempted to try to cosmetically fix my Cab. Actually my high mileage car runs as well if not better, it has a chip, filter, lightweight wheels, so that might be why.
