On the hunt again...
Well, this will probably ultimately cause my divorce, but I'm on the hunt for another 968!
Looking for a unique exterior color 968 coupe. Guards red, black, white and silver need not apply. Even though I know those exterior colors are known to have gotten the highest output engines from the factory, those colors just don't interest me at the moment. And for those owners with Aventurine and Amazon, sorry - not interested in those exterior colors. Besides - those colors got the lowest output engines!!!
Perfectly fine with a 6spd or a Tip. I thought I would never say that! But as I get older, I more and more appreciate not having to shift. Getting old sucks!
Most important criteria for me are as follows:
- sound mechanical condition - this will be a driver for me so I'd like to start with something ready to roll if possible
- if there are any mech issues, being upfront and truthful is of paramount importance to me - I'd like to avoid surprises - I'm not afraid to buy a car with known issues however
- exterior condition should be reflective of age/mileage - I don't mind rock chips, minors dings, faded paint in certain areas, etc.
- interior condition is not terribly important - I would prefer a non-cracked dash, but it's not a show stopper - I'm getting pretty good at refurbishing interiors!
- would prefer a car with the original wheels - that's a strange one, but I'm quirky like that
I am in absolutely no rush. As I'm sure we've all heard before - I want to buy the seller as much as the car.
If anyone has any leads or is interested in striking up a conversation, shoot me PM!
Very much appreciated and I hope everyone is safe and sound during this unprecedented time. Thanks!!

On Craigslist in Chicago suburbs. Seems a bit steep to me, especially with a Tiptronic, but is a unique color: No affiliation.

Three Wheelin'
I know that Mark Pleiman has a 968 coupe in Midnight Blue metallic. I believe he just had it repainted in its original shade. See basic information at https://www.plyhammersparts.com

Jim,
I just purchased a 1994 Midnight Blue coupe from a 55 year long PCA member (not 55 years old!) last month. Full disclosure I am a dealer but first and foremost an enthusiast who has been a PCA member for over 30 years myself and owned, raced, shown many different Porsche models. The car has 57k documented miles (records back to new) with original paint except drivers rear quarter panel (only way to tell is by meter readings). Car has some good options, 220 (Limited Slip), Hi-Fi sound system, 17" cup wheels, etc. and it will be appearing on BAT any day now.
