Default 968 Parts Car

Wanted to reach out to you all regarding a parts car I have. Been slowly taking it apart (this one was missing engine, trans and torque tube and has a TON of rust, so was not going back on the road or track). Most exterior parts have been spoken for, but I have an almost complete interior in black that is in pretty reasonable condition.

Please let me know if there is something that might interest you. Can of course provide more detailed pictures. Long time member, that would rather help other members out before going to CL or FB. Car is located on the NE side of Indianapolis.

Hi Ben -

Dash condition? If there are no cracks / no damage, I am seriously interested.

Hi Jim,
Unfortunately it's cracked, but is in good shape otherwise if someone is looking for a project.

Default Hatch Carpet

Ben: What does the rear hatch area carpet look like? If in good shape, seriously interested.

Looks really good IMHO. There is one spot that I took a closer pic of with the red arrow. Largely unnoticeable, but seems like something hot touched it at that point. Just want to give you a clear idea of condition. Foam on the back is in great shape too.

The 968 hatch area covers do not retract like a shade (like the 944/951) do. They effectively have a bungie cord attachment style and just sort of hang in place when not in use but do not retract nor have a "roller" mechanism. Used ones hang a little lower....as the bungee cord gets stretched out. Guy on Ebay makes a reproduction that looks nice (no affiliation/no endorsement)

Can you post the year and last 3 of the VIN so I can mark it as dead in the database. Thanks

This is what I have. It's not pretty, but the hardware on the ends does seem to be in good shape.

What exterior parts do you have left? Looking for fenders (dented or rusted fine), hood and bumpers. Also, what condition are the seats in?

Fenders, hood and front bumper are sold. Have the rear bumper and seats still, see below.

There is quite a bit of corrosion on the seat rail on the driver's side. I think it will clean up OK, but will require some work. Also, the stitching on the base on the passenger side has pulled up on one side. I think you'll be able to see what I am talking about in the pic.
