Default 9mracing Supercharger

I was just looking at 9mracing's website and saw the comments about the kit for 968's. Eric Sandoval had nothing but praise for the kit. Anybody else considered this kit or actually ordered one? I was interested but not sure if it would be wise with a Tiptronic gearbox. Anybody got any thougts on this?

There is someone on 968.net who is buying eccentially the same kit from SFR. Might want to check it out.

Well it looks like it's a non starter for me at the present as the temperature here in Dubai is already over 100. Come July and August it'll be 120 minimum everyday.

It is amazing how many people would like to fit the SFR/9M supercharger kit but are prevented by the AC issue. Removing the AC was a design flaw to begin with.

I hope this is something they will remedy.

If you turbo charge, you can keep the A/C!

I think the first Ninemeister kit was actually fitted on a lightened 944 with an engine swap. That car is the inspiration for my 944. I'm just waiting for my AC to die just so I won't have to remove a perfectly good AC system. [that and the stupid California smog law -- but there are ways around that one!] We'll see....

Besides 9M, you could also look at http://www.weissach.net/Suppliers_92...nversions.html

Karl, on that list, Huntley is no more -- no?

Yup, Huntley bit the bullet... I haven't had time to edit the page to reflect that.

Well I sent an email direct to 9M and got a speedy reply back from Colin Belton (thanks). To date they have not/are not resolving the air con issue. Will wait til the winter here and see what the car is like keeping the air con off. If it is all okay then maybe the 968 will become a winter deal only and my trusty Cherokee will carry on through the searing heat we call summer in these parts!

No Huntley? I was going to get their SC, looked more appealing off the bottom end than SFR blower style. I guess it will have to be the higher top end of SFR, don't really need A/C in Alaska. What did Huntley do with any left over stock, Derek? What about tech support for units sold? Is there another company selling a non-blower style SC or Huntleys left overs?

Huntley was selling the parts to fit the supercharger but not the unit itself on Ebay recently. However I do believe the one guy who fitted on had a great number of problems and I am not sure he got it working well before he sold the car.

The SFR kit seems to be a much more workable solution. I do not know Tim at SFR but I have spoken to Colin (9M) several times and feel confident in him.

From what I hear, it was completely unsorted and had quite a bit of issues. Shame that the new owner did not know all this.
I have worked with Tim on several occasions. Very busy but he makes sure he takes the time to do things right. I am sure eventually there will be a solution with AC. You can always turbo and keep the AC :-).
Trevor migth consider selling his turbo setup or his car. Might want to check with him.

Did you guys see the 911 & Porsche world article on this setup? It was put on a 968CS that was decked out pretty sweet.......nice car!!
They don't go into much detail but praised the SC kit quite a bit.
