Default Upper dash stitching

Hello,

I'm trying to find out if Porsche offered stitching on the upper part of the dash as a factory option. I understand from @jeff968 excellent site (https://968register.org/interior-mat...configuration/) the console, lower dash, door pulls, and e-brake handle were stitched with the full leather option. Additionally, @Motorsport has posted photos of his stitched interior (https://rennlist.com/forums/968-foru...l#post16563828). However I have only seen stitching on the upper dash as part of a reupholster, such as this beautiful job on @968gene car (https://rennlist.com/forums/968-foru...l#post14199584) or from Classic 9.

TIA!

I think Porsche tried upper dash stitching and leather in the eighties on the 928 (?) with poor results, hence the full-leather 968 with lower dash only.

My dash is a "high quality vinyl". Recommended to avoid the leather issues Jeff outlines above.

That's great to hear and good call on the limited daylight. Here in FL I feel the like the sun savagely attacks cars even when they are garaged!
