What’s Your Favorite 968 Color?
Other than the one(s) you own? While I’m a big fan of the out iof the ordinary 968 colors, I think I’d love to have a PTS Irish Green/Cashmere coupe.

Amethyst Metallic. l just think it suits the mood and tempo of the 968.

I have a general special place in my heart for Speed Yellow, but the Maritime (?) Blue Clubsports are something special. I don't really know how different that color is to something like the newer (?) Mexico or Shark blue, but they're very similar to my eyes and would also look fantastic on these cars.
I'm also on a bit of Python Green kick lately and would love that. I dunno, I also agree that the standard red and black are just a little too commonplace and don't always highlight the great lines on these vehicles.
Maybe it's worth trying some of this out in AI and see what pops out. Hmmm, Ruby Star anyone?
Cheers

Amethyst is great. If even more rare cobalt, iris, or tahoe blue metallic would be even better. Any of those colors with light gray interior with seat piping and deviated blue carpet and black dash and steering wheel..

Amazon Green. Just love that color change effect.
Tahoe Blue and Amethyst are up there as well.

I love the bright colours in general and my favourites are:
Signal green (I was week away from buying this particular car in Germany, but was beaten by a US buyer)
Mint green (my own)
Riviera Blue
Rubystone
Wimbledon green
Violet Blue Metallic (Like my own but shows the colour better than any image I have of mine)
Speed Yellow
Amethyst (even better with two-tone matching interior)
Maritime Blue
Raspberry Red
And Tahoe Blue

Now I will say that Porsche extras pay for themselves when it comes to resale. How often can you say that!

Most of those great, wild, jelly bean colors were available at NO extra cost. That is the case for Rubystone Red, Maritime Blue, Signal Green, Mint Green, Speed Yellow, Amaranth Violet, and Riviera Blue. These were all NO cost solid paint color options on the 968 and other Porsches. No different then Guards Red, Black, or Grand Prix white.
But it was the times, most new car buyers weren't brave enough to go with one of those "loud" colors so no one got them. Or they just didn't like them.
Today, you have to pay $15k just for the color to sample paint and then wait 6 months to a year.
Ha, how things change.

I like any color on a sports car, and so it’s easier to list what I don’t particularly like. Silver and black. White is the only non-color that appeals to me.
Some don’t like Guards Red, and I’ve always thought it might be because it was over-represented.
Porsche’s blues and greens are the two color categories that they did best IMO.
