clutch options for 968 turbo
The time has finally come for me to order a clutch kit for my 968 turbo project and I was wondering if I have any other options for an uprated clutch other than the paragon sport clutch kit. I will be using the 968 DMF flywheel for now, so only clutches that work with standard fitment will be any good. Any ideas??

Happy to entertain you anytime you are over Damian! I think you will also enjoy a ride in our KW 993 track car as well....
Raj my mechanic has not had great experiences with the spec clutches he has used on the 951's not sure if it was the flywheel and clutch combo or just the clutch kit they had problems with. He preferred I try and get a Sachs unit if possible. Is the paragon uprated clutch kit enough to hold the power? I want the car for street so not looking for a mega heavy clutch, or to abuse it, just one that will not slip. I dont want a noisy clattering setup either, as close to factory as possible.

When I got my turbo back from PowerHaus, the clutch did not slip, but it was unbearable to push in. The clutcht was just too "heavy/strong" to drive on a daily basis. I contacted PowerHaus and the clutch was from a 996 turbo. They swapped it out for one from a 996 C2. It works great without any slippage and is much easier to live/drive with. I sure if you contact PowerHaus they could recommend a clutch for your application.
Let us know what you end up with! Good Luck and Congrats on your Turbo. I know you will enjoy it!

Sachs Race Engineering is making clutch for 968. the price for pressure plate (same product code for GT2, 968) is something 900 EUR here in europe. You can also order 968 turbo S clutch disk from sachs witch is another 500 Eur. So that combo should be good for 900 nm. I was looking that to my 951 but its a bit out of my price range!
