It's definitely "that" time to be doing it. Thanksgiving to Easter....

That being said....no, mine are not on yet....

Since my Saab's gone, I'm going to be putting the Pilot Sport A/S from the 968 on the 951 and the RE-01Rs from the 951 on the 968.

Just installed Bridgestone Winter Duellers on both Jeeps this week - a necessity in the country roads around my place. Bob - if you've driven around Rigaud Mountain, you'll know what I mean.

Put mine on the Audi last Saturday. AWD modified twin turbo could be fun tomorrow.

Just had new All Season Firestone Firehawk GT put on my winter wheels, and they're mounted up and ready for some action!

C'Mon gents, Porsches make great snow cars... just as long as you have snow tires on them.

It's been a couple of years since I sold off the snows for the P-car. And I had an excuse. I did that to fund a set of Pagid Blacks for the track.

I miss it. Outside of the race car graphics, I drove it year 'round in full race configuration. It was still a great winter car. World's fastest heat, heated side-view mirrors, ABS, mine even has headlight washers. A practical Porsche indeed.

I miss those days.

So, to any and all P-cars wearing snow tires and plodding through the white stuff this winter, I salute you. Dr. Porsche would be proud.

If I had kept the 996 it would be my DD sun, rain or snow, however no need to drive one of my convertibles with plastic rear windows in the snow when I can drive one of the 2 4x4s or the awd car.

When I first got my car in 1996, I drove it year round. It performed great with my 16" Flat dish wheels and 4 Blizzaks. It was great fun with passangers who could not believe I drove it in the winter and I always had to show them just how well it handled in the snow. Then I had the conversion done and due to the new brakes the wheels no longer fit so I sold them.
