Default 968 Interior Carpet Tearing (near driver entry)

Recently noticed beside the emergency brake, the carpet is starting to move from the door step trim - I assume it's due to years of going in and out of the vehicle, the carpet is sliding....

Does anyone know what kind of glue I can use to stick the carpet back in place?

3M 08090, Super Trim Adhesive. in a huge spraycan. use a lot of it. doesn't completely harden.

it's also a good sound dampener.

I found one place that sells it near me - I'm going to pick it up tomorrow....I guess I should be careful where I'm spraying...do you suggest putting newspaper around the area I'm spraying just to be safe?

Or tape, that stuff works great but is hard to get out of carpet.
