thanks !!
the hard thing on this one appears to be getting the electronic speedo to work with the o1e
my guess is that i'll be running some Audi parts there ??...
i'm utterly clueless but i'll get help.
the cutting and pasting part should be fun (with the help of a spare dash, making up the new one and quick swap in).
I actually like the Cayman instruments better (but not the 190 speedo)
and i'm wondering where the oil pressure, and oil temp gauges are on that.... digital?

hot on the trail...
I need to find out if there is a programmable interface on the GM computer to read my abs and then send the correct signal to the 996 digital speedo.... then be able to calibrate it. if not, i'll have to have an interface made that works directly off the input of my speed sensors (used by the 968's abs).
everything else is straightforward.

In theory, very straightforward; in practice, proved to be quite challenging.

968 speedo comes out of the ABS computer, you shouldn't have to much trouble converting that, but failing that Motec make a converter for the abs sensors

What kind of moron would actually put his 968 up against a gimmick car. The 968, like most Porsches were not built to run in the 1/4 mile. Who does that for real? How about a 200 mile race through the twisties. I have a feeling the Postman would be a little late on delivery's that day.

these are 944 carpets. to my knowledge, no one is making the full rear S2/968 carpets (w/ the small bulge).
there was a vendor making the flat sections of the rears with these wicked cool emblems stitched in, available in most of the colors. those were really helpful for the S2/968s suffering with badly stained or worn carpets, but I misplaced the link some time ago.
Robert at Classic 9 has improved his site....
leather dash anyone?

and the other stuff.

not sure what Robert is doing with our doors, but they're easy enough for our local shops anyway.

Good boxster stuff
I have a 98 boxster as far as wheels the past owner put 10x19 on the front 12x19 on the rear as far as sound system I caped the front speakers for mid and tweets only added a good powered sub made to go under the seat but put it on the rear deck fits under the roll bar top does not touch it when it goes down, this little sub works! Can't rember the name was 300 bucks I have to turn it down! You get sound out of a boxster that is beyond great! It's a 8" woofer size that fits,
