M030 Not
Take a look at this eBay 968:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...item4d04d38dd5
Does it read to you that it is an M030 car? It is not. This is the second time in 2 months that I have seen 968s advertised as M030s that are not factory M030 cars. If you were buying the car would it matter to you? It looks like a nicely sorted fun 968.

It wouldn't to me. I see the brakes, upgraded suspension and sway bars, plus a lot of upgrades that take it well beyond M030. I don't think it's particularly misleading, given his target market.
I agree that it looks like a well-sorted car.

I'm more irritated that it is a 2004.
And I don't see anything implying M030
EDIT: Trim says M030 did not catch that at first look

Any seller whom disclaims "Average 12 track days per year for the past 3 years" in the first pharagraph has to be honest
Not sure about the 19" Speedline alloys though ... not in that model anyway, 18 they clearly are
Nice car and will be interesting to see if it meet reserve. I guess with no BIN option the reserve will be high.
I see there was no need for the seller to even mention M030 as the car is clearly better optioned now :-)

Nicely sorted car, perhaps, but I am with Jeff on this. Its not a M030 car and shouldn't be represented as such.

Looks like a well-sorted streetable track car, if you're looking for that kind of thing. There's always that toss-up of "buying into it" or "starting from scratch", and I'm more on the side of "buying into it" if the car has been done well, taking advantage of somebody else's initial investment and depreciation. As long as it has all the right bits, I wouldn't care if they were original or not on a track car - and the warranty expired about 20 years ago, so there isn't that to worry about.

How much of a premium does a true M030 car carry these ddays?
