Prodedure for testing LSD before a rebuild?
I have a 92 968 with the clutch type LSD. Does anyone know what the procedure is to test if the LSD is still performing to spec, or needs to be rebuilt? I don't want to tear into this trans if I don't have to.

throw down some dirt and drive over it.
then floor it.
go back and inspect the dirt.
or install a V8.
pull up to a piece of asphalt and drive over it.
then floor it.
go back and inspect the asphalt for rubber fragments.

968gene, thank you for the link. I got in between 15.5 and 15.8 nm every time. Looks like it has about 20% life left in it. I wonder if I should use the redline 75-90 ns instead of the regular 75-90?
