Headers and stage 2 chip is very tempting. Any noticeable power gains?

honestly, the cat back made it sound pretty good but no noticeable gains in power. the chip paired with the cat and the headers are a different story. before i did this, i felt the car was kind of boring in its power delivery. afterwards it made it into much more of a visceral experience and i enjoyed touching the gas pedal all the more.

as far as sound goes, i really enjoyed the headers with the stock catback. it was a subdued throaty, almost exotic kind of sound. the RSBarn catback made it a little louder which i also enjoyed but i prefer the former setup.

all that being said, i don't have any dyno time before or after. just seat-of-the-pants and grin factor.

Here's a video of the sound difference. mine is the second to last setup. I have the high flow cat instead of the test pipe so i feel like its not as 'resonancy". i like it, im just selling the car and the guy wants the stock exhaust.

After 30 yrs of marriage(good ones too btw), when faced with such sad stressful financial decisions, I always end weighing it against, "Its cheaper than divorce court!"

Truly sorry that you're having to exit 968 ownership, hope my attempts at a bit of lightheartedness wasn't mistaken for anything insensitive for your situation. Hope you are back in a '68 sooner than you imagine & that you still come 'round to be a part of the group. Wish I could be the one to afford your RSBarn catback & chips. GLWS
