You always have to think about the next mod, right?
I've seen a few pictures of them, and after some research finally found their website, it appears that they sell them new for much less than people are putting them up for sale used on ebay.
Not that I need it today (okay, I can wait for Black Friday).....but if you have one, do you like it? I've heard mixed reviews about them.
Let me know, and if you have pictures, post them!

FYI - This has been an on going thread over on the 951 forum. The price new is $499 + s/h. Several people have been buying them and listing them on ebay trying to make a profit, but you can easily just call Pilkington Classics and have one shipped to your door for the price mentioned.

To answer your question though I bought one for my 968 and LOVE it! The quality is great, and the feeling you get inside with the glass roof is really cool. The fit is nice and tight and of the 8 or so miles I've put on my car with it on I didn't notice any rattles or funny noises. This included some bumpy neighborhood roads, city streets and down the highway at speed. Definitely one of my favorite purchases.

Here is the website for the Saratoga top:

I'm thinking I might get one. I found one for sale on PP that a guy still had in his garage, sold his 968 years ago, and wouldn't let it go for less than $700. And you can buy them new for $500.
Wish I would of gotten in the original offering.....then it would be a no brainer.

I have an original one that I run on my 951 and wouldn't trade it for anything. Its an awesome addition and makes the car more pleasant for daily driving use. Obviously, I don't need one for my 968 cab.
I suspect you'll love it, altho I can't comment on the quality of the new ones as I haven't seen one yet.

Anyone remember the group buy we were going to do from the guy in Westchester who said he was going to remanufacture them? Was that here or back on 968.net?? Didn't someone drive up to Scarsdale to meet with the guy???

I picked up one of the "new" Saratogas manufactured by Pilkington. So far have been very happy with it. At $500 I think it's a great deal and much better than trying to find a suitable original one.

Reportedly, if you order by the end of December, they now have a special for $400. Check the threads on the 951 forum.
That said, given that they'd sold a bunch in a group purchase a couple of months ago at $300 each, I'd not be surprised if they'd do another group purchase at $300 again. If so, I'd be in.
