Default 968 air box mod question

So, I've been debating with myself if I should do the good old 968 air box mod or if I should find a good dry cone filter. Now I'm leaning towards modding my air box. I have two different pdf's telling me how to do this(Drill the holes and glue those rings on)
But I have a few questions about this mod.

Where do I get these rings? I'm located in Norway so ordering online is probably my best bet.
Are there any mods to anything but the air box? I see the stock snorkel is removed, but how is cold air from the front bumper being led into the air box? Is it some sort of snorkel being used?

Thanks in advance!
And here's the mandatory picture of my car.

I did the mod to my air box & removed the snorkel. Can't say I noticed any difference in either the sound or the HP's. I'd be interested in the rings too, think they are like the holy grail of sorts. I also bought another air box from a 968 being parted out. Just so I'd have a stock one without four holes in the front of it. I had the car in a show last year & one of the judges noticed the holes in the air box. Thought that was a good eye on his part.

I think I found the article. That might shed some more light on this. Hmm, pretty sure I'll go with this.

The cold air just follows the path where the snorkel used to be. I also removed the rubber seal where the snorkel passed thru for a slightly larger opening. If like me you have an early 968 the plastic trim piece with the glove box makes a nice barier to prevent hot air getting to the holes and also contains the cold air to ´force´ it into the airbox.

Parptarf... I did mine a couple years ago, those rubber rings are NLA so I made my own rubber rings out of small hose & they work just fine. Before cutting the holes make sure and measure twice take your time,it's an easy mode to do but you need a little patience to do it rigth

For the rings you can just use some bass reflex tubes as used in audio speakers. They are available in many sizes and lengths. If not the correct length you can just shorten them. something like this http://www.balhoek.nl/baspoort-50mm-dia.html which you should be able to get localy.

Pure coincidence I swear. Had recently re-upped my membership to sell some Recaros in the classified section. Keep up the good work!
