Default Anyone identify these wheels?

Anyone know these wheels and if they are stock or not? I love the look of the turbo twists but I was under the impression stock ones wouldn't fit...Its hard to tell is this car has been modified but it doesn't appear to be.

Those do not appear to be 18" Turbo Twists.

If OEM, they're most likely the 17" Twists, 7" and 8.5" [986] or 9" [996], that were fitted to early ~'98-'02 986 Boxsters and 996 Carreras.

So 17x7 and 17x9 will fit on the 968? Any modification needed?

My 92 has the optional 17" rims (c2). Stock dimensions shown next to the valve say; 7.5 wide/65 offset in front, 9 wide/55 offset in the rear.

I believe they are specific to the 968.

The fronts are specific to the 968 and 928. (The 911 got 7"s in front). All got 9"s for the rear.

Stock...easy to ascertain.

Dismount the rims. If they have 9X6 part numbers cast on the back side, they're OEM. If not, they're aftermarket.

Even easier then that. All OEM 968 wheels have the offset and rim width visible from the front, around the rim edge. The OEM wheels are the only ones to do this.

Oh, okay.

If you like the way these wheels look, I'd mosey over to the 986/996 forum...I'm sure they'd be happy to provide you with appropriate part numbers. Someone over there may even offer to sell you a set, after having fitted 18" rims to their car.

Minor setback...as far as I know, these fronts only came in a 7" version, whereas the factory 17" front on a 968 was 7.5", as previously stated. Not a big deal, if you like the way they look and your car spends more time on the street vs the track.
