Default Amethyst Cab and Coupe

Came across these over the weekend while browsing 968's.

92 Amethyst 968 manual with script seats

This seems like a great car for the money but I could not live with color.

94 Amethyst 968 cab manual $14,995

Also has the typical sun burns on the door panels, shame.

Two cool 968s. The first one is very nice and of course, a 1 of 1 with that interior. It last traded for around $40K. I don't see a price with it now.

But you made my day with the cab. Can you see why???

Amethyst is a 92-early 94 color. This car is a late 94 (note the 993 style seats).

This 1 of the 7 color to sample 968 cabs and I had never seen it before so now I know it is Amethyst. Someone must have really liked that color because they paid $2500 extra to special order it in this color.

That's a very strange pricing chart. 1992 value - 119,000 ??

Adjusted for inflation, I believe a 968 was around 80k to 100k with taxes and options/convertible. Which is probably why they never sold that well. Exchange rate was killing german cars.

I assume that is what that chart is.

The cab is right down the street from where I work, if anyone is interested I'd be happy to give it a first look. FYI, Luxury Motorsports has a pretty good reputation around here.

I sent the dealer an email and he states the car sold Saturday and is already gone! I would have loved a photo of the vehicle information sticker for the registry. If you see the new owner driving around with the car send him over to RL. A very cool car.
