Default Saying goodbye (prematurely as it turned out)

[ON EDIT: I am keeping the car: dealer was a liar.]

Originally:
It looks like the time has come to part ways with my '93 coupe. I'm sure I'll put an ad up soon, but if anyone wants to contact me personally in this regard, feel free to PM.

A sad decision....

That is a very clean car John. Hope you don't leave us, but if you do - hope you get what you ask for.

John, you've been a positive fixture in the 968 community for years. I'm sorry to hear you are going to sell your car. Best of luck.

Thanks for the good words, folks!

An important note: some people are following a link to a gallery of pictures of the car taken August 2004 @79,000 miles. Just to be clear, it's now late 2015. The car has over 183,000 mi. It has been driven in Maine winters and summers since 2002.

It comes with many spare parts (incl mods as listed on the car's page), along with a small library of literature and a couple 1:43 diecast models.

I will not be asking a lot for it.

Thanks for all the good wishes folks. It means a lot.

The deal I thought I had to replace the car with something more winter-worthy fell through just now. So I ain't goin' anywhere: you're stuck with me for now.

Thanks to all for your support!

John

Thumbs up

Now it's goodbye for real. The shop that worked on my Porsches for 30 years closed down suddenly recently, and I am not interested in the other local options for service work. So soon I will be posting a for-sale for my 186,000 mi. car (with some minor but not insignficant problems.)

I love my car: it's been mine since Feb 2002 and I smile every day I drive it. Thanks to everyone here for their friendship and support.

New car? 2006 BMW 330ci zhp w/37,000 miles. Wish me luck!

Regards to all, and thanks.

My former 968 is owned by a good friend, so I get to see it often. Enjoy the new car John.

Oh, at least two other ZHP owners! Great to hear. Are either of you on ZHPMafia?

Nah, the name was a complete turnoff for me. Never bothered. Bmw crowds are very different. You will see..
