This manifold means I can stay with the 75mm ethrottle. The other manifold is just a little too small for 75, 65 would be perfect.

Got the wing on as well and the hatch resealed. Yes it is possible ... Trick is hatch must remain on the car or it will never hold . Also leak testing in the Georgia rain showed that the rear hatch pin plates need a coat of sealant on the ( the ones in car) or it will leak for sure.

I also made some adjusters from aluminum, something about the cf ones bothered me (looks wise) I'm a sucker for a sexy azz

Also made a bracket that fits in the factory location to finally attach the throttle assembly. Looks like I can retain the cruise control as well.

Pistons are JE, Darton sleeves, I suspect the oil coolers in the block and the combustion chamber coatings help in being able to run a decent clearance. I HAVE NO PISTON SLAP ON COLD/WARM/HOT STARTS!!!!!!!! NONE. PLENTY OF FIRST START VIDEOS WITH SOUND TO PROVE IT.
That I will make available as soon as I solve the financial ruin I'm surfin through.
Sorry....😔

I even cranked the motor trying to sync the timing maybe 50 times maxing the starter at 258rpm...oil pressure is present and still no piston slap.

I've been waiting 10 years to say this:

If you post / read this board and have not built a sixteen valve turbo cause it seems like a unicorn...I gave 20k to a builder we all know and saw nothing for 6 months...I had a job and a little money and some wrench turning skills that was all, once I ran out of options I figured I could do no worse myself at home.

And there were the nay Sayers ... One went as far as sending me pics of a jacked up motor that was to ward me off of using mid's and 2618 Pistons ... I still have the pics 😝

I say do it, if u want one, if ur reading , if ur staring at parts cause u need a little motivation ... Message me... I'll share info only personally ( actual clearances ) but will share any other tid bit. You know where I'll be... In the Garage-Mahal!

Better hop to it before some company has me coding on my knees. 😜
I think I split up my posts by accident ... Or I don't get out much

Nice build. Would love to see more pictures and know how it does off boost.
How much boost you use and what's your Max boost?

Funny you should bring up off-boost, that is the problem I am trying to address now with the other manifold. Porsche had so much more runner compared to the purchased one I started with, which began life as a 2k+ SFR unit that was not right, so they sent another one. This one was not right either just 'less wrong'. That one I cut up to fit the 968 TB at first then went to drie-by-wire with the GT3 throttle.

Answering your question, .8 min - 1.2 max varied by driving conditions as determined by rpm, throttle rate of change, MAP ... but then TC slip targets can / will affect it as well. Then imagine all that in a config scheme of which there are 4...I am still working out 1. I also forgot the throttle curve also has an impact.

I have a lot of data with the 4.5 inch runner SFR manifold and am very curious to see how my map changes just with the swap out. I have a feelng I know what the data will show. I'm using vario cam as well which should /may change. The air velocity with the SFR unit is just not there at all at low rpm.

Sorry SFR, but I paid for the right to critique it.

What's your redline set at?
MM can make some good suggestions about the intake.
More pics under the hood.
Variocam still. Interesting. Would like to see a dyno sheet. Particularly with you playing with timing.
