981 dust-free brake pads revisited
Yes, I searched.
Looking for a dust-free street pad for my 981 S, and a search took me to old threads from a couple of years ago. Has anything changed since then? What's available for my 981 that is dust-free? My usual pad of choice isn't available for the 981, and a web search found no suitable substitute.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

Check into POSIQUIET semi-metallic. I haven't tried them yet, but they seem to get good reviews, and are low dust.

Any 'low dust' brake pad is going to have less performance than OEM. You're aware of that trade-off, correct? If yes, then no issues. Unfortunately, there's no free lunch. There's always a compromise. I don't like it either, but rather than change pads and affect performance, opted for black wheels (with polished face), to avoid having to clean the freaking wheels daily, or look like crap otherwise. So your options are to change pads, or paint your wheels. Good luck.

If brake dust is the top concern, ceramic pads offer quieter stops, cleaner wheels, and generally longer pad life due to their harder composition, but it's not the best choice for the track.

I'm aware of the trade-off. I prefer dust-free pads like the PBR/Axxis Deluxe pads that are 95% dust free.
I've used those pads on 6 or 7 cars, and they stop well enough with a little extra pedal pressure.
Sucks that they don't manufacture a set for my 981.
