Default New to me 981 Cayman

Since first seeing the 981 Cayman in 2013 in the press, and at the 2014 NYC Auto Show, I knew this was the Porsche for me.
This past January I rented a base Boxster in Miami. I loved the howl from 4k-7k and the confidence inpspiriing handling.
By spring I started tracking the cars on all the major listing sights that appealed to me.
Prices shot up as I watched, but I was also waiting for my current lease (Audi S4) to end this November.
One caught my eye, and seemed reasonably priced.
With the help of Rennlist member Cobalt, I was confident this was a good car, so I jumped on the opportunity.

Picked it up last Tuesday.
2014 Base Cayman w/ 10,700 miles; Sport Chrono and PDLS being the major options. And it's a manual.
Finally back in a proper sports car.

Looking forward to learning from all here... great forum.

A couple of photos from when it was for sale, and a few more from this weekend meeting up w/ a friend and his 718 Boxster Spyder.

Congrats, and enjoy! The 981 is a beautiful car, and that dark blue looks exquisite

So happy you are enjoying it. I look at a lot of cars mostly air-cooled's but when my son and I looked at this one it was exquisite. The color combo just doesn't show as well in pictures IMO as in person and the car was clearly babied and well cared for. I was surprised to see no blemishes and 0 over revs.

Glad to be of help, drive it in good health and maybe one day after this craziness is over we will meet up at Hershey or some drive someplace.

PS: time for clear corners.

I saw this car for sale about a month ago and was the exact spec I was looking for, alas too far away on the east coast to make it a resonable purchase. I hope you enjoy it, as that color doesn't come around often. I noticed the dealer had dropped the price, did you end up paying around what they were asking? No worries if you don't feel comfortable sharing, just trying to get an idea as the market seems to be holding steady on the 981's. Enjoy you lucky dog!

I got a few $ off asking. Not much. Felt the price was inline w/ current pricing.
Check your PM.

I've attached the spread sheet I created tracking cars that interested me.
You are welcome to take it and use it. Just continue adding the rows/comments.
