Default New to me 981

Hi 981 fans, I’m new to the 981, I had a 991 and sold it and have regretted it, so I bought a new to me 2014 Cayman Base, and i mean base, only options are:
Rhodium Silver, Infotainment package with Bose and Convenience group, and Sport Design steering wheel, oh and previous owner put on 20” Carrera classic wheels and a Brombacher Exaust, that’s it! I haven’t even driven it, Porsche of the Main Line home delivered it to me from Pa in Va!
oh yeah, best part is it’s a manual.

24k miles, black interior

What a find!
Manual and an exhaust, what other option do you need? Beautiful car, enjoy!

Congrats!! Those rims alone make the car look high spec’ed 👌. Has the car been lowered by the previous owner though? Doesn’t look stock height

I agree, given the wheels and exhaust I'd say there is a good chance.

I don’t know if it’s been lowered, Porsche of the Main Line didn’t mention it, been on vacation and still haven’t driven it, hope it doesn’t make the ride harsh, I’ll find out tomorrow

These are 20” wheels, that’s why it looks lowered I believe………

Agree. I have a 2013 981 BS with a manual, PSE, and a few other options. I was offered an insane price for it in June, about 20% less than I paid for it, and I was tempted to sell but what would I buy? I searched for a couple of weeks and I was going to have to spend at least $60K more to get a car that met my standards. What I quickly discovered was that the great price I got for my car was more than offset by the price for newer model Porsches. The good news is that I love my car as much today as I did eight years ago. It's a keeper.

Handling is highly subjective, but I prefer the handling of my 981 to prior 911s I owned. IMO the 981 is the perfect road car and I love the sound of the classic Porsche flat six engine.
