Default Mag safe mount and battery

Can’t seem to find a clear answer, so posting.

I hadn’t realized the charge ports stays on and installed a mag safe mount in the cayman. The mount has a small blue light that stays on when away from the car, so concerned if this will have enough drag in the battery to run it down.

thanks,
-Skip

For the archive…

I’ve done some further testing and after about 2-5 minutes the cayman killed power to the 12v plug, so no worries.

thanks,

Which one did you go with and are you happy with it?

It absolutely will create more of a parasitic drain on the car IF it doesn't have the auto shut off after a few minutes. So be sure to double check that. But as stated above most models will auto shut off after a few minutes... but still wait it out and check.

I WISH the 12v outlet in my Spyder would shut down after I turn off the car. Just out of curiosity, which outlet are you using?
