Default Will an aftermarket filter change the sound of my 981 Boxster S

Will it sound more like an aftermarket intake? I know there is ZERO performance gains.

Not sure on the 981. I would be interested to know if the 981 has the "snorkel" that was installed on the 987. Removing the snorkel does change the intake noise (increases it) from what I've read.

I think the 981 has twin snorkels because from what I've read it has two intake filters, one through each vent.

I de-snorkeled, re-filtered and PSE'd on a 987.2.

My biggest increase in sound, proportional to the money spent, comes when I play the soundtrack from "Le Mans"--with the top down of course.

I love the sound of intakes and love the sound of a blow off valve even more. I "desnorkled" my 2011 Subaru WRX STi (Worst car ever) and it made the car better when the turbo blew off although it didn't sound like a great intake you'd find on certain cars.
