Actually after pushing dealer further they are saying no allocations yet. So either they shouldn't have told me or they where mistaken. We will see

You can't trust no one, I am working two dealers trying to get on their list, just to make sure I get on one of them.

Thanks for the feedback. Did some searches on other boards and found similar posts on frowned upon msrp markups. I'll use info to negotiate or ask for refund. Some info I found from the 5 dealers I called to back what some have already said:
1) 918 buyers get priority over waitlist
2) If ur not #5 or lower, doubtful ull get an allocation (Non-premier dealer)
3) Limited run like GT3RS (from 2 dealers)
4) First delivery summer2015
5) 2 waitlists 15 deep, stopped taking deposits

Based of the press launch today, the list is going to grow like crazy!
I might not be at the beginning of the list, but I think if they do PTS, I have a better chance of getting it.

A Central Valley dealer asked for $20k to put me at #1 spot.. Found it quite unfortunate that they would seemingly bid out the order regardless of who had called them first... I shared this in another thread. Anyway, after having been on their list for months I told them I was no longer interested in having a deposit with them, and that I wouldn't be replacing my work car/daily driver with a Macan from them either.. Not much one man can do change nasty business habits, but they weren't getting my $.

Thanks, I couldn't agree more.
I will be staying away from that area

Emailed my Dealer this morning. No allocations yet but he said I will have one so no problem. They do not take deposits or create a list. When they say you are in- you are in.

New here and the discussions have been very helpful. I originally had a CS allocation for April and had the deposit for it, but when the GT4 specs came out yesterday, I had to call my dealer today and told them I wanted to be on the list. Happy to say, i am at #2 for their allocation. So hopefully I do get one. I made sure I told them this will be at MSRP since some dealers from other states charge above MSRP for a slot in the list. I am extremely excited.
