That we are even putting the Spyder in sentences with the GT3RS and 991R, cars that cost twice-three times as much as a Spyder if you could even manage to get one, is incredible to me and deeply satisfying as a Spyder owner.

If I was looking for a street legal track beast, and had a $250k budget, instead of an RS, I'd get a Viper ACR, and with the $ saved, get a 981 Spyder.

I sold my Spyder over the weekend on consignment at my dealer. My MSRP was $95,180 and the car sold for $100k with 2300 miles on it. If you want more information PM me. I love the car I just don't have the space for it right now and never really drove it in a year. I'm on the list for the 991.2 GT3 as well from this dealer. Hopefully by then I will have some additional garage bays.

Wow, good job by you. I went to my Porsche dealer with whom I had a longstanding relationship. I say "had" since the dealership recently changed hands. I was looking at trading for a TurboS. They offered me $86K for Spyder, car stickered over $98K. 1500 miles, no stories, no damage. Meanwhile they have a used Spyder on the lot, used, for $103K and change and the last used one they sold was $102K. (No idea what they ultimately sold for, of course.) Opted to keep the Spyder and shop elsewhere in the future.

Why don't you sell privately instead of giving dealer free money?

Well, not selling, but they had something I wanted and having been a customer for over a decade, we had usually been able to do deals we could both live with.
"Under new ownership" equates to "what have you done for me lately," I guess.

In retrospect, I am glad I kept the Spyder, so perhaps they did me a favor.

Default Asking $140K w/5,000 miles

From the same Paris shop that listed the "Cloud" blue (actually Gulf Blue)/Pepita Spyder. Asking $140K w/LWBs and 5,000 miles.

https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car...rce=newsletter

For this SBM Spyder the ask is $134K w/355 miles:

Hard to tell what the relationship price wise is without knowing the original MSRP as they are both in Europe. Straight currency exchange rate is not a accurate comparison between USA and EU cars.

^^^^^Granted, but when you consider MSRP in Europe was 79,945 euros, or roughly $90K USD, and how these cars are equipped, my bet is they are still priced (well?) over MSRP. That's not to say, obviously, that they will necessarily sell at these lofty levels.

Did you notice this in the description of the first car:

Le Spyder 2e génération n'est plus produit et sa production aura été limitée à 2 440 exemplaires au monde (1653 Europe et RoW, 910 Etats-Unis + Canada).

I think we had heard before total worldwide production pegged at about 2,440 cars, but a definite headcount of 910 cars for NA is something I don't recall reading elsewhere. Most estimates were in the 800's I think. I wonder if these figures for total, North American and European/ROW production are, indeed, final and exact.

I am not going get confused over it, high 800's or low 900's makes no difference to me, rare indeed anything is final AND exact.

^^^Yes, you're obviously right - - it's not a huge deal 100 cars either way. I guess it's my **** personality that is curious to know an official headcount. When someone asks me how many they made, I'd like to be able to definitively tell them. It's a basic fact any owner of a limited production car should know IMO.

I think the owner of the shop that composed the ad listing these production numbers has ties to upper level management at Porsche and thus I suspect the numbers are accurate.

I have a 2016 Spyder and am considering selling it. It is a GT Silver/Classic Red interior with sofa seats and has under 500-600 miles. Do you folks think that the market will support selling it at MSRP?

Not trying to be flippant.. but just post it at what price you want and then see what offers you get no?
