Default bad tires

My tire guy found two bad ones, out of four, with bubbles on the side wall of my summers (Goodyear F1s with only 1,000 mi on them) when the snows are taken down. 2 out of 4! He was very surprised! New replacements were received from Goodyear without hassle. Any of you guy have had any Goodyear tire problems?

Never had good luck, road feel, wear or driving joy out of a set of Good Year tires. I've had them before and never will again, I wouldn't put them on my truck, it is impressive to know they at least stand behind their product, kudos to them.

I created a bubble last weekend. Made a U turn and went up on the curb slightly. $390 U turn it was!

I had Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s on an F car never had any problems. Also have Goodyears on 981CS, but so far no issues. Only tires I've had problems with are Contis. Tons of bubbles in sidewalls, in previous vehicles. Last set we had came on my wife's MB came and we hadn't curbed a tire, or hit any pot holes, and they weren't super low profiles (17" wheels), and within 500 miles one tire developed a bubble. Dealer replaced the tire for us for free. Still I'd never buy another set of those.

My Spyder came with F1's that had only 2,800 miles on them. I did not like them at all and threw them out replacing them with AD08R's.

I've only driven a half a tank on them but the P Zero tires communicative road feel is far more impressive than the Bridgestone tires it came wearing.

Given the not so good reviews (though not uniformly) of the F1s, what are my options for the 18 in wheels on a 2014 Cayman?

blsching, If you go to tirerack.com you can review the combinations from OEM only to a full product line.
