Default Borescope Inspection and Recommendation

Concerning the 3.4 Cayman S engine, is it possible to performed a borescope inspection via the spark plug holes? (can you see anything worthwhile?)

Any recommendations for a borescope?

Thanks!

Spark plug holes is where you need to go in with your scope. If your scope camera is small and with good resolution, then yes, you can see. Have piston at BDC during the scope to allow you to see as much of the cylinder as possible. A simple cheap Amazon borescope will provide really good imaging for the DIY person.

Cheers

And here's an example of what you DON'T want to see (post 9) - bore scoring.
