Default Brake Sensor for every caliper?

Can someone confirm if there is a brake sensor for both rear wheels? Getting the wear sensor on my new to me 2005 Boxster and notice there is none on the left rear brake caliper.
Thanks

There are definitely two on a 987.2 S. I'd be surprised if there was only one? It is not uncommon to hear of them being hard-wired and permanently removed btw...

I should say I get the Brake Wear indicator message. If they should be on both rears than I know the problem
thanks for letting me know!

Every caliper (front & rear) has a sensor wire which splits into 2 sensors - one for each pad. Those who regularly track either tie back the sensors or cut & splice the wires since it's a closed ground loop which when broken triggers the warning light.

Thanks for the response - that would certainly explain the warning light. All the others are in place. Will now get that fixed!

I could swear the fronts on my 981 were only on the inside pad and did not split to both pads like the rear. That said, I ended up bypassing the sensors anyways, since I check my pads often and they are easy to see visually.

Replaced the rear pads on my 2008 Boxster S less than a week ago and there are definitely a wear sensor on each side. For what it's worth, the wear sensors on the front and back are of a different style.

Yep, indeed one sensor was completely missing in rear. Popped new one in and all my dashboard warnings are gone. Thank you!
