Default sub-$20k 2009 Boxster manual

Wondering if the collective feels this may be a deal worth purchasing:
Just under 80k miles black/black 2009 base Boxster manual with a clean title

PPI shows:
-brand new Beru coils/Bosch plugs
-<4k miles on front brake pads, 10 mm remaining from rear pads
-left window switch is loose
-left front fender reflector light bulb out
-new Liqui-Moly 5W40 oil/filter
-clean bores/oil filters without metal particles
-*paint needs correction with "minor clear coat flaws" with no need to address
-*recommends water pump replaced

Carfax:
-accident with right rear damage; "functional", at <10k miles in 2010
-last owner has had the car since 2013 at 29k miles with ~20 services recorded (mostly oil/air cabin/air filters replaced/tires rotated, etc)
-last engine mount replaced at 70k miles
-drive belts changed at 56k miles

Options on Vinanalytics:
-vent/heat seats
-Bose system
-Xenon lights
-basically the same car as mine without the PDK/sports chronos

Already paid for the PPI.
Would you purchase?

Well, I am in the hunt for basically that car, and at that price I would be quite interested!

Looks like a winner to me... I'd certainly consider it as well.

My Carvana 2010 was similar, except it has no accident on record... and I paid $24k for it. In fact, if the car really has ventilated seats, I would have LOVED that feature... I couldn't find any .2s with that feature!

Thanks for the advice!
Both my 2010 meteor gray boxster w/pdk and this car have vent seats.
I must be lucky!

If you have to walk away from this deal, please shoot me a message cause I would be interested! If I run across a similar sounding deal I'll check with you to make sure it's not the same deal, too. Right now my best candidates are a low cost high mileage 06S and a lower mileage high cost 06s in my favorite color, would prefer a 987.2S or a 07/08S but the 06S would be ok.

This is only the base 987.2, just so you know.

Seems like a winner... I'd buy it for under $20K.

Possibly, depending on what I wanted to use it for. If for a daily-driver, it's being discounted heavily already probably due to the finish problem and the reported accident. If I wanted it as a garage queen - then no - I probably wouldn't since correcting the finish problems might well cost more than the reduction in price you'd be buying it at.. ie - $20k is probably about $4-6k below where current market is on these cars with those miles. If correcting the paint costs $2k or so (be lots more if you go for a quality glass out repaint) that means you're getting $2k off what one without body damage reported would go for.

Of course, if you're budget-restricted (I can understand that) - then it might well be desirable if you aren't going to obsess on making it perfect.

So there's your answer - "possibly" (or "maybe" - take your choice.)

Yeah, after driving my wife's meteor gray '10 pdk, I am wanting to drive the manual. The cars are not bought as "collectibles", since I have had 2 <20k miles pristine 928 that I ended up selling, because I hated to drive them. These Boxsters are both 80k miles, and they will give me nothing but carefree joy when putting more miles on them.

Thank you for your advice! You're always so helpful here and Planet-9!

I'd also recommend buying...the car seems to have relatively minor issues that are easily fixable. You're getting all the 2nd gen mechanicals (great engine the 2.9 is) at a rock bottom price, especially considering all the COVID high price mania that we've been experiencing over the past year...

Update:
Funds transferred and having the mechanic change the drive/serpentine belt, water pump/thermostat, replacing the driver side switch panel and front side marker light bulb.
Already just received fresh coils/plugs.
Can't wait to get it transported from NC to Philly.

Thanks to all the advice and recommendations!
