Default Do the 981's have a Clutch Delay Valve?

Can anyone tell me if the 981's (specifically, a 2014 Boxster S 6MT) have a clutch delay valve of sorts? The clutch take-up off the line feels like it. I've had several E9x-generation BMW's and removed the CDV from all of them, dramatically improving the clutch feel.

In my Boxster, it feels like there's 2 stages of clutch take-up. The first feels like a lot of slip, and then the second starts to grab enough that I can feed in heavy throttle/rpm if I wish. The second clue was that I tried to actually spin the tires off the line (I know... lots of weight over the rear axle), but the clutch just slipped and would have continued to if I hadn't lifted the throttle.

If we do have a CDV, has anyone removed it? I've seen at least one car that had it integrated into the clutch master cylinder. I hope that its as easy to change on the Porsche as it is on the BMWs, but somehow I doubt that will be the case.

Thanks,
Anthony

You might try posting this in the 981 forum. Dunno how many 981 fans hang out in the 987 forum. And has Porsche ever used a CDV? I thought that was just a BMW thing to help keep the rear axle attached to the car. Your symptoms sound like a bad clutch to me.

Thanks. Not sure how I got myself into the 987 forum. LOL.

Yeah I would be very surprised if this car had a CDV. Clutch engagement on my 981 S is instantaneous.
